12/11/22: From Stanley Spur Trl on unbroken moderate snow. Met ‘Zack’ (and ‘Wags’) at mile 1 who took over breaking trail to the Nystrom Junction and an additional quarter mile or so. Leading through undefined trail and much deeper snow became a challenge and a LOT of work. We decided on a summit approach ASAP which led us up the (steep) nose of the south ridge mostly avoiding snow drifts. I lost Zack somewhere near the summit and continued on to Vasquez.
