We started out around 12:30, took us a bit to find the trail head, as we took a wrong road.

Once we'd parked, we took the Doublehead ski trail to the summit of North Doublehead.

The trail felt longer than it was, but that may have been due to the sun and heat. It was moderately steep, I would say, which also makes for slow going for me on the uphill.

The cabin was unoccupied and locked, so we peeked in the windows. Looks like a nice place to spend a night.

There was a group of people sitting at the overlook area having lunch, so we just snapped a picture and headed to the col and over up to South Doublehead.

The trail down to the col was steep and fun, but I wouldn't want to climb up it.

Met a couple of people in the col and talked for a bit, then took the much easier .3 mile trail through pretty woods to the summit of South Doublehead, which had gorgeous views.

Well worth the hike just for South Doublehead. North had some views, but South was awesome.

We took the Old Path down. Fun trail, though, again, as steep as it was, I was happy to be going down it rather than up. I'm backward that way.

Tiring, but worth every step!
