Brutally hot March day (by NorCal standards 78° is brutally hot, at least in March; yes we are soft). Trailran up from Jack London State Park. Thankfully large sections of the climb are in the shade so just kept eking along. But at about 1650' a steep section broke me and from there started alternating walk/run up to the Park Highpoint at the edge of a fence. Stepped (gingerly) over a tangle of barbed wire and followed a path across the meadow (mostly used by cattle) that led to the left past the towers and then linked up with tractor road to the obvious height-of-land. Jump over an electric cattle fence and look for a large cairn at the summit. Ran past a couple of hikers headed up to the highpoint as well, would be awesome if they join peakery someday.

Do you really have to rub it in? Most of the country is enduring a blizzard. We have two feet of snow already and it isn't over yet. The only good thing is that you reminded me that my daughter and granddaughter probably had a good day too because they live in San Jose. Enjoy those "hot" days--glad you had fun.
