Took advantage of cool weather to do a marathon length hike up to summit Somerset-Sneeukop from the Elgin Grabouw Country Club. Used the Sphinx route to make our way the length of the Hottentots Holland mountain range. Whole route out was in the midst of thick cloud which cleared as we reached the summit and popped out above the cloud level. Path was overgrown in bits but besides some scrambling up to the summit nothing too challenging.
