Cairngorm Club day meet with a bus – with a fellow member. We departed from the main road near Auchessan and ascended to Sgiath Chùil and Meal a' Churain. We went westwards and had Lunch at NN454323 (Lairig a' Churain). We continued to Beinn Cheathaich, meeting a party of members going the other way. Meall Glas was reached at 13:30. At 13:45 the attempt on Ben Challum was given up. We descended to Auchessan and the car park at Loch Iubhair to join the bus. It was wet underfoot with some mist and showers.
