This was Peter's last "wainwright" trip - the ascent of Eagle Crag and Sergeants Crag. (Wainwright was a person who sketched and described all of the routes on 214 Lake District Peaks) Peter had taken many years to complete this feat. As it was a celebration, several friends and family members came on the walk. We started from Stonethwaite village, walked up Stonethwaite beck and then up steeply onto Eagle Crag. After a short stop on the summit we continued down and then up onto Sergeants Crag, whee we decorated the summit and had a small celebration.
