Day 4 of a holiday based at Santon bridge. Fine sunny morning, set off from Greendale farm near Wastwater, to the summit of Middle Fell Good views on top, with the full extent of Wastwater screes revealed and a clear view of Scafell Pikes, Mickledore and Scafell. After spending some time on the summit, we descended the N ridge to a boggy area at 465m, north of Greendale tarn, the views were excellent throughout. Here we continued N for another 1.5Km to High Pikehow on the lower slopes of Haycock, but decided as time was pressing, we would head SW to the summit of Seatallan 693m. This was a steep grass ascent, with a flat summit, again, goodviews of the major Lake District peaks and the Irish sea to the West. After spending some time on the summit, we then descended via the lower peaks of Glade How and Buckbarrow and then back to the road for a mile walk back to our start point.
