From Patterdale, we climbed up Birks, St Sunday Crag, along the ridge to Deepdale Hause, where we dropped down to Grisedale Tarn. We walked around the tarn and up onto Seat Sandal, where we enjoyed good views all around, to the Helvellyn ridge to the north and Grasmere to the south and Fairfield in very close proximity. We returned to the tarn and then down Grisedale Beck back to Patterdale.
