Also called Tonuco Mountain. A benchmark marks the current highpoint although the north end of the mesa is a little higher. The old 4WD road that goes to the top of the mountain has some really bad sections so a stock HC 4WD vehicle will only get you part way. Expect to hike up the road to the summit for about two miles one way. The website: Summitpost.org has a great writeup about Tonuco Mountain including details on accessing the northern most vehicle access tunnel under I-25 from County Road - E70. Peakbagger.com also has details; see Alexander OConner's 2020 trip report for accessing the southern tunnel under I-25 from E70. I recommend checking out the northern route first. I drove by it on my way out and saw that it does appear to be the better choice but didn't check it out as it was almost dark. Its closer to the 4WD road that accesses the top of the mountain and is on public lands.
