From Granite Mountain, I simply followed the road south to where it ended on top of Roundtop. There were great views of the surrounding San Gabriel Mountain summits, which I identified by name. The summit of Roundtop was flat and uninteresting. I didn’t see a register, but then again I didn’t look very hard. Meanwhile, It was a long shadeless walk back to Pony Park from there.
