Recovering from bronchitis, I was able to slowly walk up the deserted road from the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Roanoke Mountain. The sunset was tremendous as rays darted across the Roanoke Valley. This is one of the least popular, but most beautiful mountain tops in the area. Perfect weather.
