The way up to Pyramid starts across from an old Ski Chalet that is out of commission. There is a clear path laid out, with some very nice bridges built to cross small streams. Once you hit the base, it is calf burning madness all the way up. The incline is very steep in certain spots, and can be quite slippery after a good rainfall. It was very misty on our climb, and as we got higher we began getting pelted by chilly winds. Unfortunately, the clouds blocked our view most of the way to the summit. Right before you get to the top, there is a shifty rocky segment that must be carefully approached. I would not recommend animals at this portion, as you will not be able to carry them and you will need your full concentration to ascend. Once past that, there is only a slight incline left until you reach the summit.

The great thing about this mountain is the quick intensity you get from it. It isn't too long, but it isn't easy either. A great and challenging hike, with some fun rocky areas for something a little unique.
