My son, his girlfriend and I traveled to the Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Biosphere Reserve, perhaps the second largest in Europe, it is the closest thing to a jungle, with numerous animal and plant species. We climbed this peak from the Linarejos recreational area. At first we follow a track that surrounds the mountain to the west but soon we leave it to go north. We continue across the mountain towards the immense rocky lapiaz that is almost a fortress, the peak and its vertical walls force us to surround it looking for an access, we pass by vulture nests angry at our presence there. Their low-flying flights with open claws put us on our guard as we dodge large blocks of stone. At the end we find an access that after some climbs takes us to the top area with less vegetation but sharp rocks. The surrounding views have been worth it.
