From Rifugio Vittorio Sella. With Rhona Fraser and Roger Robb. We walked up route 106 towards Colle Lauson, taking one of the initial short cuts from the Rifugio. Then we took 266 which first zig zags steeply upwards, then less steeply along the side of the remains of Ghiacciaio de la Rousse. The route becomes very steep and loose in the gulley coming down from Colle de la Noire. We followed the ridge (rocky all the way) to the summit of Punta Nera della Grivola. We descended the same way. Weather good.
