Leading a party for Waymark Holidays (11 members of the party). From Rifugio Gian Federico Benevolo. We walked on a path towards Colle di Basei. At a suitable point we went on to Ghiacciaio di Lavassey. We crossed the glacier going above a rock pinnacle seen prominently from the hut and which is in the middle of the glacier. The party was roped up on the glacier, which is a little trickier than on the Punta Calabre day. We climbed to the summit of Punta di Galisia. Then we went to Punta Bousson – straightforward. We went along the ridge connecting with Punta Basei. At Punta Basei we traversed the western slopes to meet the north ridge. We used the north ridge to reach the summit of Punta Basei. The rope was used on several sections. We went back down the north ridge of Punta Basei to Colle di Basei and then back to the refugio. A very good day. The participants much enjoyed this day.
