Another unclaimed urban peak. There are dozens of “Prospect Hills” in the world. This one is in Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. No views, but the woods here are nice. I only realized when I got to the traffic circle at the summit that this is a spot that was once called “Prospect Circle.” It was famous locally as a site for…casual rendezvous and assignations. I’d never been here before. Nowadays I think it’s just a haunt for city-dwelling deer and power-walking old ladies.
