Beautiful December day. First time I've climbed Poor Mountain with no leaves on the trees. Great views of Roanoke Valley, surrounding and distant mountains, and even downtown Roanoke. Clouds created beautiful texture. This is a tough climb. A solid 4.5 miles to the peak with 2,160+ feet of elevation gain.
