Day 3 of our first Eastern Sierra backcountry ski trip... and the first successful summit of the trip. A classic ski descent in the Rock Creek area. Tons of snow still blocking the road so we skinned down the road a few miles to get to the base of Pointless. Then we skinned up left chute until it got too steep and put on crampons. The steep descent down the right chute was hard on top but softened to perfect corn 20 turns from the summit. Then we managed to ski almost all the way back to the car. A great day and not at all pointless.
