Leading Waymark party based at Pralognan. From Réfuge du Bois via le Tovet, Lac de la Vélière and Creux de la Foudre to Roche de Mio although some members of the party went via la Vélière. We took a narrow path (not on map) SW and climbed to the summit of Pointe du Tougne by going left first to avoid difficulties before going back right. We descended to Col de la Bauche de Mio – any small difficulties on the crest were avoided on the right. From the col we followed a narrow path S going over a top at 2534m and on to Pointe de la Vélière. The descent was to WNW towards the ruins of le Tougne – no path, but it was straightforward. Back to Réfuge du Bois. The weather was excellent.
