This peak is a beast . With all the action jumbo seems to get, it is mystifying that there was only one short description at all about this peak. Starts out like jumbo, then once the boulders are reached some thoughtful route finding is required to first even identify what the high point is , then to actually get to the base of the summit block. Luckily I had some service near the top and was able to pull up Sean c trip report and see he did a big leap to get to the final slab that led to the first of the two summits . This helped get me to where I needed to be. This is also where my problems started . The two summits are about equal in height, but are separated by about a 20 foot notch. I have pictured where you would need to jump to, which Is about a 55 degree slab 8-10 ft below you and 10-12 ft out. The x area is overhanging and featureless. Getting back, you would get down to the notch and then climb back up some flakes that Sean c said he did not feel comfortable trusting his weight on, I did not see myself as there is no point in downclimbing that since the featureless overhanging face is insurmountable. This is all quite committing, and not something I wanted to do solo with a wobbly knee. A rope and partner would be great for this part. Guess I got this one half completed .

Did you see what the other side of the boulder (with the X) is like? Is it accessible?

Didn’t seem like there was any reasonable way up, I’m gonna try back out there before the end of the month and get another look at it . The notch drops pretty sharply on both sides so it wasn’t reasonable to get into the notch and try to scoot around it.

If the top is not too high (say 25' above the deck), one can throw a rope bag over the top, and self-belay from the other side with friction knots. I have a very strong 6mm rope that I use with very strong schwabisch knots. The throw bag is sleek. hwstock AT AluM dot mIT dot EdU if you want to borrow it.
