Unfortunately the group that I joined only went as far as south peak but overall the hike was good enough. There were a number of instances in which there were cliffs and uncertain paths but generally it can be completed by a beginner.
Good hike and next time will definitely go to the north peak." — Chok • Jun 24, 2023

"Started the hike at 4pm in the afternoon and summited at around 6-7PM. It was raining and windy as we got closer to the summit but eventually was able to set up our tent and spend the night at the summit." — Chok • Nov 28, 2020

"Dayhike turned 22-hour hike at Mt. Balingkilat traverse to Nagsasa Cove via Baculi. Lost and e-camp at Kapatagan. Still, had fun swimming, camping and observing Leonids at Nagsasa Cove. " — MJGPresto • Nov 17, 2018

"We had strong winds and heavy rain at around one in the morning. Good thing out pegs held up. The local dog even waited the storm out just outside our vestibule. It was a relatively easy hIke, although on the way down the trail was almost non existent. The rain and hiker traffic made the trail extremely slippery. The waterfalls at the end was very refreshing though, making the travers very worthwhile." — Jio • Aug 19, 2017

"We started out at four in the morning, trudging up in the darkness at a relatively easy pace. The mountain was simple but very satisfying, with a diverse range in its flora.
Near the peak the trail changed into tree-less paths that make the hike unbearable when done when the sun is at its highest. It becomes unreadable as the grassland comes uo high enough to pass over our heads. We were rewarded with wide views of the plains and farms surrounding the area. It's a good warm up hike that may lead to the other possible trails in the province. " — Jio • Aug 19, 2017
