An uneventful road walk from McPherson followed by a short climb up the east ridge firebreak. I was passed by a couple driving a Land Rover on Sierra Madre road. 36 miles of dirt from Hwy 166; no thanks. I think I could see pocket views of the Pacific from this summit, but hard to say. The San Rafael wilderness is beautiful from here.
