Revisited the Lightning Ridge Nature Trail. This is a trail that I visited for the first time over 20 years ago. However, I never left the trail and climbed to the peak before. Where the Lightning Ridge Trail intersects the PCT, a use trail leaves the PCT and goes toward the summit. I made the easy climb and was rewarded with good views on a great day in the mountains. If avoiding the Lightning Ridge Trail, take a left on the PCT from the parking lot for quick access to the peak.

Just did the same loop a week ago (4/6/19), and there are so many blowdowns, especially along Lightning Ridge Trail from the past winter's storms! Trees were ripped to shreds here!
