Pretty much followed HPS Route 3, with the exception of the exact starting point. There is a dirt road north of mile marker 7.10 which I walked on for 0.40 miles before reaching a use trail that climbs the lower slope of Cole Point. The slope rises steeply and quickly to Cole Point. Once there, a lot more hiking is in store with the addition of Peak 5840 & Peak 5881. A firebreak connects all three peaks, making it look deceptively easy from Cole Point. However, there is quite a bit of ups and downs along the way. Glad I did this one on a cool day, since there is no shade out there.
