From Highway 138, I parked directly across from the wide dirt pullout at the beginning of Cleghorn Rd. A posted sign called the road “Summit Road Turnout”. Google maps calls it “Summit Post Office Road”. I didn’t drive the road, I simply parked on it after getting off the highway. Peak 4276 is visible due north with an electrical transformer sitting on top of it. I walked the dirt road across two different sets of railroad tracks and then took the right fork of the dirt road which went in the direction of the peak. At a point where the road bends sharply into a hairpin turn to the left, I left the road on the right hand side. A use trail follows a gully to the summit. The transformer stands on the high point.
