4.12.22~Peak 3,235’, Eldorado Mtns, Nelson NV area. 10.5 miles, 2,500’ gain in 4:38hrs. I took advantage of wind and cooler temps to get this peak that I missed last year. I fell in love with this area because it’s so colorful, rugged and remote. This great route (I drew for myself on topo) passes many points of interest like The Jenko Mine, The Aztec Wash Petroglyphs & Cholla Cactus Forests. After, I drove down to the River for a cold dip to ice my sore bod. Nice day out with bountiful solitude & Grand Views of the Colorado River and Surrounding Mtns. (Jenko mine info.)
