Cold morning (15 degrees at start) but a beautiful sunny, windfree day for a hike in the Shawangunk mountains! Group hike that started with 20 people on the list and became 8 with the cold weather. Thoroughly enjoyed the hike from Route 52 to the Roosa Gap Fire Tower. Summit is about a mile from the Route 52 parking lot, fire tower is about 5 miles from the parking lot along the ridge that starts at the summit. An easy hike, only steep until the ridge is gained.
