Dayhike of Goat Mountain and the adjacent peaks out of Roads End in Kings Canyon. ~4 hours to Grouse Lake, where I began scrambling almost immediately, eschewing the approach via the saddle with Munger Peak and instead climbing the west face of Peak 11874. From 11874, I set out north along the ridge top to Goat Mountain - a sustained strenuous class 3 scramble. Not particularly technical or exposed, but taxing in the midday heat, especially after already ascending over 6500 ft. I reached the summit 6:30h after leaving the trailhead.

From the summit, I scrambled down Goat Mountain's NW ridge to the saddle with Munger Peak, then up Munger Peak, which was a brushy class 2/3. Having been on rock for over 3 hours, I was ready for some walking, so I made a beeline to Grouse Lake, then caught the use trail leading to Copper Creek. I flew down the trail in less than 3h, making it to Roads End well before sunset. 20 mi, 7800 ft gain, 11:50h.
