Started walking at day break and was on the summit mid morning. Detoured to have a look at the bivvy before heading to the summit. Had beaut wx. Made a slower descent with a lunch break and stop for a chat with an older couple who were on their way up to camp near the summit.
Natural history notes: Saw quite a few powelliphanta snail shells & heard almost continuous bell bird calling while walking the bushed section of track. There were also a lot of fantails about including the not so common jet black coloured ones.
