This easy hike made a nice addition to the hike to Mammoth Mountain. After getting lunch in Mammoth, I drove up Old Mammoth Rd to a point just before reaching Lake Mary Rd. On the right is the trail marked with a small wooden National Forest sign. I found a place to park and enjoyed the short leg stretching hike to the top. Great views in all directions from this natural viewing platform.
