4 women 2 snowmobiles, started at 12 mile FSR near Retallack, BC 12 km on sleds with full packs and many extras for an overnight trip. Once we reached our base camp we got ready to ski tour up Mt Paddy 2068m 6786ft. The snow conditions were wind scoured and wasn't the most ideal. Once we reached the Col Nadine and I took our skis off and went into mountaineering mode with our ice axe and crampons due to the poor snow conditions. All 4 of us reached the Summit on a glorious sunny day. On the way down we broke up in 2 groups and met at our base camp. Night fall came and it was at least -12 had a small fire and dinner and retreated into our tents for a cold night ahead.
Lack of sleep we woke up groggy and got ready for the day ahead to attempt Mt Texas. We sledded up a short way to the base of Mt Texas and since the snow conditions were poor again Nadine and I hiked up with our ski boots and crampons. Cindy and Sarah ski toured up the snow crusted mountain. Again we reached the Summit Mt Texas 2184m 7164ft. Another glorious day in the Alpine. We descended, packed up our base camp and sledded out 12km to our vehicles. All in all a successful trip! Thanks Ladies
