This trip was extremely difficult and emotional for me. Two years earlier I had and Artificial Disc Replacement at the L5-S1 level of my lumbar spine. My goal was to summit one year later but couldn't so two years would have to do. Went with 2 friends and my cousin and we all made it. I really slowed eveyone down but none of them wanted ot leave me behind. It ended up taking 22 1/2 hours to complete in one day. It had been raining in days prior to our hike but our day was perfect weather and absolutely gorgeous. Took a lot of pictures and video along the way. That probably slowed us down a bit too. I was sore for days after but so happy. I vowed never to do it again and told each of my friends to remind of how I felt if I mentioned it again. Of course I did it again the very next year!
