Decided to take the more scenic route down to the trailhead by following the north ridge trail to the rocky promontory of the North Peak of Mt. Townsend. Overall rating 7/10, worth your time if you're hiking to the summit of Mt. Townsend via Little Quilcene Trail or Dirtyface Ridge Trail.
