Drove to Bairnsdale, then Buchan and up to Mount Seldom Seen VK3/VG-029. Set up the radio gear at the trig and made 15 contacts. Returned to the main road and headed north, then around to a track off Limestone Road leading to a small quarry to park. Walked across the bush to reach the end of the spur leading to Mount Wombargo. Climbed over The Peak on my way to Mount Wombargo VK3/VG-006. Set up the radio gear just below the high point and made 15 contacts. Walked back to the car, this time veering to the NW side of The Peak. Drove around to Rams Horn Track and up the track to the high point. I then walked up the spur and around to the east of the knoll south of the summit and around to Rams Head Range VK3/VG-007 (Peak 1659 m). I found a spot to set up the radio gear and made 11 contacts. I retraced my route back tot eh car and then drove around to the campground at Native Dog Flat to set up camp for the night.
