3 girls and 3 dogs about sums it up! Myself, Maggie, and Myles took the dogs to claim another 4kfooter...Parked off Tripoli Rd before it closes for the winter and headed up. It was a very enjoyable steady hike the summit. About 1/2 up we started to encounter a lot of ice, so we broke out the mirospikes for the first time, made this hike much easier and safer. The dogs ran into a bit of trouble on the ice but overall it was great late fall hike. The summit was gorgeous with bluebird skies and a view of a snowy Mt Washington, that alone was the worth the hike. Easy hike down just before dark, with burgers and bear to follow at the Comman Man.
