Molly needed Monroe for her Grid and I needed Washington and Monroe for mine. She drove up the night before and we got an early start to the day. We headed up Lion's Head Tr to Washington. We then dropped down Nelson Crag to take the Alpine Garden Tr across to see the pretty flowers. We then took Tuckerman Crossover to reach Lake of the Clouds and went up Monroe. We then took Camel Tr and down Boot Spur. Tough day but a beautiful one above treeline.
