Started at 8am and encountered snow below tree line after the first mile or so. Post-holed once we got off Colorado Trail and onto Mount Massive Trail. Once above tree line snow let up until final approach to saddle and ridge line. Many false summits. Saw family of mountain goats 100 yards from the summit! Reached summit at 12 noon.

Glissaded off of summit to begin decent. Once back at tree line, especially on Colorado Trail, post holing became a huge issue. Waist deep and extremely slow going. I would not recommend making this climb unless you have snow shoes but I don't think those would be that effective in the afternoon snow anyway. Unless you think you can get up and down by noon I would wait at least another month to attempt the climb. Took about 4 hours to descend.
