A beautiful trip. The summit trail is short, with little elevation. The Ozarks were formed by erosion, not uplift, so they tend to be flatter than what many people are used to. Make a full day of the trip by starting at the visitor's center and walking around the top of Mt. Magazine. The views are probably better during the fall, but the wildflowers are spectacular right now. Very buggy, lots of ticks, so make sure you bring some spray. Almost nobody was on the trails. You'll have the place largely to yourself. Arkansas has wonderful state parks and federal lands.
