I finally made an ascent to the top of Mt Gardner. It's a nice summit, there's a big pile of logs at the top. I parked on the forest road going up toward Little St Helens Mtn, about a mile before the parking lot, due to the ice and snow. It was a cold day; the snow surface was dry with big, sharp, flat crystals. I made my way up to the summit, via forest roads, humming an old patriotic song by Woody Guthrie.
