Trailhead temp of 28 descending to 20 at about 3,500 elevation. Hiked Edmands path to Eisenhower loop trail. Trail is currently packed some ice so traction required. Microspikes would be fine below treeline. Above treeline, steady 30+mph winds with gust around 50. Socked in the clouds, it was snowing horizontally, caution for wind drifts advised. Following cairns was our only method of direction. White on white. =) Would recommend crampons in exposed areas. Snowshoes were not required for us that day, but we certainly carried them in case.
