We set out fully prepared and aware of the weather, expecting some rain showers. We took Lake Road to Gill Brook, which was phenomenal with all the recent rain making for some beautiful scenery. Then we went on to Indian head and Fish Hawk Cliffs to Colvin. I was so happy I had my new spikes handy, and put them to good use with a bunch of snow and some ice as we were about 3/4 mile from the summit. It rained two times on us on the way up, and as we approached the top the sun broke through the clouds! The sky was blue and it was such a gift!!! It was challenging descending, but we took our time and make it back to the car before sunset. Such a crazy adventure and so worth it! High Peak 13/46 completed for me!
