Walked south through the bush from SH7 just east of the quarry. Saw a Kaka (species of parrot that is quite rare & wasn't expected in that locality) whilst returning to SH7.
The summit was once cleared of vegetation but there is quite a bit of regrowth there now almost obscuring the views. A metal surveyors trig beacon above an iron pipe in the ground marks the summit.
