A tough 7.5 mile hike. Luckily the weather was a bit cooler than normal for this time of year. Views are somewhat intermittent as a good deal of the hike is up steep hillsides on loose trail with a limited view. Once you reach the top of the ridge, just past the intersection with the Domerie Peak trail, the views open up a bit. The hike gets a lot easier from that point also until the last slog up to the summit. The sun came out just as we reached the top, with views of Lake Easton and Kachess Lake (although the view of these 2 are better at the beginning of the hike on the Easton Ridge trail) and a great view of Cle Elum Lake, the mountains surrounding it and the Stuart Range in the background. After eating lunch we headed back down the way we came. Maybe next time we'll try to reach Domerie Peak.
