Today I decided to take it easy as I had not so much time on hand and jumped in a Taxi for an Island Tour. Monte Verde (Portuguese meaning "green mountain") is the tallest mountain in the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde. The mountain is located 8 km (5 mi) east of the city of Mindelo, the island's main city and is 750 m tall. The mountain is part of a natural Park. The road from Mindelo to the summit of Monte Verde is cobbled and narrow, snaking its way up the mountainside. If you are afraid of heights the drop is a little intimidating especially when you see the next curve in the road ahead and the erosion that has taken place over time. Unfortunately the Weather was not in my Favor and it was all Foggy and not much of a View from the Top. Never the Less it was one kind of experience.
