After Monte la Croce, descended back to bifurcation, the path heads south crossing the ravine and then continues to rise eastwards, the south east, until becoming more exposed. At the point the marked path doubles back westwards, you can begin to find your way up Monte Puzzo. But before that I headed to the rocky outcrop to the east which would afford good views on a clear day but on this increasingly sodden afternoon afforded a view of sweet FA! N.B this is halfway to Monte Lupone and is a great route. Didn't head but followed same route back down.
