Highest peak in the Sulcis Range but not the funniest.
Had a good look at the nice streams and forest behind it, but there is not that much to remember.
The summit itself is very wooded and doesn't offer much in terms of views. Also all around it many peaks of similar height block the view even more, especially W-E.
Looks like the area is a prime hunting ground, with many dirt roads zigzagging everywhere, spent cartridges and forest huts featuring hooks hanging from the ceilings.
At least a good sign were the sightings of many deer and uncommon birds. Maybe there is hope this area will be getting better in the future. The forest as in many other places nearby is still healing from the indiscriminate cutting of the last two centuries and most oaks are very young (70-80 years).
On the way back, to save on some unnecessary ups&downs I had to do a bit of off trail (150mts) as a lot has changed from the situation depicted on a detailed but old map I have. It is clear many trails have been completely reclaimed by the forest.
