From Ardicara. Wasn't sure whether to take this on or not. Eventually judged the going was ok and had enough time. There is a gradual descent from Ardicara westwards. Tricky in places and generally best to stick to non exposed part of the hill. There are no path markings but it should be obvious where one needs to go. The west end of Ardicara is the point you need to decide your descent. We overshot the recommended point, which basically skirts down the treeline. Thus went more directly west towards this hill. You drop some 150m here and didn't fancy the return. So after climbing what one is now sure is belvedere (and wishing one had more time to go to the western end of it), the plan was to maintain as much height as possible and skirt around the west end of Ardicara to take the path parallel to its north side to return to sella mezzavalle. This was effectuated successfully. Not great going, being on a slope and traversing around 3 or 4 spurs of this hill, but maintaining height of around 1250m to eventually meet path eastwards, and on and back down.
