With two friends and Jonathan Bellarby. We took cars as far as possible along the Lochan na Lairige road from the Killin side. Much digging in snow and mud. We almost reached the cairn near the roadside. We ascended Meall a’ Choire Leith. Jonathan and I also climbed Meall Luaidhe†. Very heavy rain and high wind. †The name given for the Corbett at the time. In the 1990 Edition of Munro’s Tables the name Meall nam Maigheach began to be used. OS maps show that Meall Luaidhe is really the name of another top a little to the west.
