Ample parking in lay-by on inside of bend on the A82 - be careful driving out, also on the short road walk to the farm track as there’s a bridge section with no verge or footway

Summits today:
CREAG BHAN - unclassified named point on ridge
MEALL LIGHICHE - Corbett, Marilyn, Simm
SGURR NA H-ULAIDH - Munro
STOB AN FHUARAIN - Munro Top
AONACH DUBH A’GHLINNE - Simm

Anti-clockwise round in clear weather. Great views of Beinn a’Bheithir, Bidean, Aonach Eagach, Appin and out to Mull. Just me on the hill today in contrast to recent outings in the area which have all been mobbed (by Scottish standards). Lots of steep grassy slopes. I’m told there is a path up Ulaidh from the Lighiche col but I didn’t find anything until above 800m. Ref the short bypass path around the gardens of the holiday cottages that has attracted much adverse comment in the past: I was pleased to discover much effort has been expended laying rocks, stepping stones and sleepers to make a decent path that now keeps your feet dry, so no reason not to use it. I was also pleased to find that the pretty Glen and cascading has thus far been spared development for run of river hydro, unlike neighbouring Etive and Creran and so many others.
