Last day of our first Eastern Sierra backcountry ski trip. We had limited time before we all needed to hit the road so chose the east slopes of McGee for a quick hit. Probably the easiest access of any ski terrain along Hwy 395. We skinned up a prominent curved avy groove to the flat tabletop ridgeline. The actual summit lay quite a long flat distance away so we opted to just turn and ski. A few steep turns popping off the ridge then a fun arcing down the alpine slide-like avy gully. We parted ways all agreeing we'd be back to the Eastern Sierra for round 2 and piled into our cars for the long ride home. Turned out to be even longer because Josh's Forerunner bit the dust headed up Kingsbury Grade.
